Travel Nurse Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing (locum tenens)
- Location: Bridgeport, CT 06606 – Connecticut healthcare jobs
- Unit: LDRPN 5N 5S (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Nursery)
- Start Date: August 25, 2025
- End Date: November 25, 2025
- Duration: 13-week nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-Call: 12-24 hours per 6-week schedule
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday as needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2360 - $2420
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – eligible for Connecticut nursing jobs
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or Postpartum nursing (both preferred)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the birthing process
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring and clinical assessment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and perform nursing interventions as necessary
- Accurately document patient care in the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Participate in on-call rotations and fulfill weekend/holiday shift requirements as scheduled
